Mat sense is rarely taught, it is earned only through experience on the mats. All athletes wrestle from to November to March.To close the gap between you and a better opponent, or to widen the gap between you and your closest rival,youmust dedicate the hours during the months of April to August.

It was because of Shamrock I was able to compete in the off season, which is a direct result of my in season success. Shamrock creates a family atmosphere where warriors during the HS season can drill, practice, and compete together as teamates from April to August. Friendships are developed that continue through the the following season. If one wants to close the gap on a rival it has to be done during the spring season and Shamrock gives one that exact opportunity. I had one athlete that last spring who had over 50 competitive matches in Shamrock.
